Mosaic, what a beautiful name for a church - one body made of a diversity of people, one church made of diverse house churches, and some day, one family made up of peoples from every tribe, tongue and nation.
God is making for Himself a people through his son, Jesus. We join Him in this mission by obeying Christ’s words in Matthew 28:18–20:
Make new disciples of Jesus
Encourage one another in community to follow Jesus
Plant new discipleship communities to do the same
We want to help people know and follow Jesus—growing in faith, love, and holiness, living as His people together, and inviting others to join us on the journey.
We dream of one church of connected house churches, diverse, multiplying discipleship communities, in neighborhoods throughout Middle Georgia and the world.
We stand on the Bible, God’s inspired Word. It guides our faith and life, offering wisdom, correction, encouragement, and direction. We believe the Bible tells God’s story with humanity and points us to Jesus.
All Scripture leads us to Jesus—our Savior, teacher, model, and hope. He is the author and finisher of our faith. The good news of Jesus is for everyone, unbelievers and believers alike. Our prayer is that every member and visitor encounters Him and is drawn to follow Him.
Following Jesus is a shared journey. We seek to be with Him, become like Him, and do what He does, growing in holiness and love within a diverse, gospel-centered community—a house church. Here we live out the “one anothers” of Scripture together, are discipled and disciple others.
The Holy Spirit equips and empowers every believer for the work of building up the church. Leadership is shared and accessible to all. We desire to be a church where gifts are recognized, leadership is multiplied, and everyone, male and female, is empowered to serve and contribute to the life and work of the church, including our mission.
The first churches were made up of diverse people - Greeks and Jews, wealthy and poor, slave and free, people from every tongue and nation. We believe churches today should be as diverse as the communities they serve and represent.
Someone who is generous is willing to give more than is usual or expected. That can be money, help, kindness, service or more. God is radically generous to us, so we can go above and beyond what is expected in giving, serving, helping, caring, welcoming, etc. others.
